Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC is recalling certain 2023 Toyota 4Runner vehicles. The load carrying capacity modification label on these vehicles contains incorrect information about safe load capacity.
With an incorrect load capacity label, owners may unknowingly exceed the vehicle's actual safe loading capacity. An overloaded vehicle increases the risk of a crash and does not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110 (Tire Selection and Rims).
All affected owners will receive a free replacement label by mail. Owner notification letters were mailed on December 1, 2023.
