Volkswagen dealers will inspect each door handle and replace them, if necessary, free of charge. A vehicle software update will also be performed to update the door handle parameters. Owner letters were mailed May 26, 2023. Owners may contact Volkswagen's customer service at 1-800-893-5298. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 57J4. This recall was replaced by recall number 24V-651.
