Entegra Recalls 2015-2019 Insignia and Aspire Motorhomes for Brake Defect

Entegra is recalling 2015-2019 Insignia and Aspire motorhomes because undersized air brake reservoirs may reduce braking performance and increase crash risk.

What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a structural vehicle defect in the braking system that increases the risk of a crash, which aligns with the 'Severe' criteria for significant injury/property-damage reports or structural defects.

Plain-English summary

Entegra Coach is recalling certain 2015-2019 Aspire and Insignia motorhomes. The recall involves 394 vehicles where the service and supply reservoirs have an insufficient volume of air for the brake system. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 121, "Air Brake Systems."

The undersized air brake supply reservoir may provide an insufficient air supply to properly operate the brakes during repetitive braking. This condition reduces braking performance and increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the air reservoir free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on December 21, 2022. Owners may contact Entegra customer service at 1-800-283-8267 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
