Pierce Manufacturing is recalling certain 2022 M2-106, M2-112, and F550 fire trucks equipped with Weldon V-mux Hercules HC Node 1.5 electrical multiplex modules. The recall addresses a defect where an additional resistor was incorrectly installed on the printed circuit board.
This defect can disrupt CAN network communication and cause vehicle lighting to fail. Inoperative vehicle lighting can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.
Owners should contact Pierce's customer service at 1-888-974-3723 to schedule a repair. Weldon will replace the modules free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on October 4, 2022.
