Electric retractable awning on multiple RV models may separate unexpectedly
The electric retractable awning on certain 2022–2023 RV models has a welded seam that may separate, allowing the awning to drop beyond normal operation and increase injury risk.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The recall addresses a real structural defect where an RV awning fabric seam may separate and cause the awning to drop, creating a risk of injury. No deaths or injuries have been reported, limiting the severity to Score 3 per the rubric's criterion for risk-of-harm products without reported incidents.
Plain-English summary
