Plain-English summary
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2022 Ford Transit vehicles. The instrument panel cluster may not properly illuminate telltales, gauges, speedometer, and tachometer pointers. This defect causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 101, 102, 105, and 208.
If the cluster display fails to illuminate, safety-related telltales and gauges may become unreadable. This condition could increase the risk of a crash.
Dealers will update the instrument panel cluster software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 26, 2023. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
