Marion Body Works Inc. is recalling one 2018 International SR525 emergency vehicle equipped with feature codes 12VXT or 12VXU. The recall addresses a defect where the engine RPM may ramp up and overcome the parking brake's ability to hold the vehicle when the parking brake is applied, the automatic transmission is in 'Drive' or 'Reverse', and the stationary PTO switch is engaged.
This defect increases the risk of unintended vehicle movement and a crash. The affected vehicle is currently within the manufacturer's control, so no owner notification letter will be mailed.
