Plain-English summary
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2021 Super Duty trucks (F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600) and Medium Duty trucks (F-650 and F-750) equipped with 6.7L diesel engines. The vehicles have a secondary fuel filter cap that may contain a small void in its top-center area.
This void may progress to a pinhole over time, allowing fuel to leak from the top of the secondary fuel filter. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of fire or injury.
Approximately 19,697 vehicles are affected by this recall. Owners of affected vehicles were notified by mail beginning January 28, 2022.
Ford dealers will replace the primary and secondary fuel filters at no cost to owners.
