The recall involves the fuel conditioning module, where the protective shield may have inadequate adhesion, allowing it to become dislodged.

If the shield becomes dislodged, the drain valve may open, resulting in a fuel leak. In the presence of an ignition source, this fuel leak increases the risk of a fire. Additionally, significant liquid fuel on the road surface may create a slip hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
