Utilimaster Walk-In Van Recall for Loose Tie Rod Clamps

Shyft Group is recalling certain 2021-2022 Utilimaster Walk-In vans due to a defect in the steering linkage. The tie rod clamps may be loose, which could result in loose tie rod ends that break or detach. A detached or broken tie rod end can result in steering loss, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall affects 76 vehicles. Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) will mail owner letters on behalf of Shyft Group. DTNA service facilities will replace the tie rod clamp bolts and nuts free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on December 23, 2021.
