East Manufacturing Corp. is recalling certain 2018-2021 MMX trailers equipped with Ingersoll Smart-Steer self-steer axles. The recall addresses a defect where the steering arm may detach from the steering knuckle during specific low-speed, high-side loading maneuvers.
A detached steering arm may result in a loss of steering control. Additionally, attachment hardware may fall from the vehicle and become a road hazard. Both scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
