2021 Chevrolet Tahoe seat belt latch may be inaccessible

General Motors is recalling certain 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe vehicles due to a defect affecting the second-row center seat belt. The seat belt latch plate may be trapped beneath the trim bezel, making it inaccessible to passengers.

A passenger in the second-row center seat who cannot access and fasten the seat belt is at increased risk of injury in the event of a crash. This defect fails to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208, which requires proper occupant crash protection.

GM will notify owners and dealers will remove the trim bezel, correctly position the seat belt latch plate, and reinstall the trim bezel at no charge. The recall began on April 14, 2021.
