The defect involves certain bolts within the Lift Kits that may not have been heat-treated properly. This condition can allow the bolts to break, which may cause the separation of the suspension lower control arm, radius arm, relocation bracket, or the crossmember from the frame or chassis. Separated suspension components can cause a loss of vehicle control or create a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
