Keystone RV Company is recalling certain 2021 Keystone Cougar recreational trailers equipped with a Solar Prep or off-the-grid Solar Camping Package. The affected floor plans are 22MLS, 22RBS, 25RDS, 26RBS, 26RKS, 27RES, 29BHS, 30RKD, 31MBS, 32RLI, and 34TSB. Approximately 347 units are affected.

The Solar Prep wiring that connects to the 12VDC circuit breakers located near the battery may not be properly connected to the protected side of the breaker. If an electrical short occurs, this improper connection increases the risk of fire in the vehicle.

Owners of affected trailers should contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369 to schedule a free inspection and remounting of the wiring if needed. The recall began January 11, 2021, with Keystone recall number 21-392.
