What this means for you
Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.
Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a structural vehicle defect (fuel pump) that can cause an engine stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash, which aligns with the 'Severe' criteria for structural vehicle defects.
Plain-English summary
General Motors LLC is recalling certain 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT5, Cadillac XT6, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia vehicles. The recall covers 2,781 vehicles in total.
The fuel pump's jet nozzle may have a plastic burr remaining from the manufacturing process. This burr can block the nozzle, resulting in an insufficient fuel supply to the engine. An insufficient fuel supply can cause the engine to stall without warning, which increases the risk of a crash.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump module. The recall began on November 16, 2020. Owners may contact GMC, Buick, Chevrolet, or Cadillac customer service for more information.
