Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2021 Berkshire motorhomes (models BEA40C-380, BEA40E-380, BEA45A-450, and BEA45CA-450) equipped with 3000W inverters. These inverters supply excessive current to the 10 gauge Romex electrical wiring, causing the wires to become overloaded and creating a risk of fire.

Approximately 22 motorhomes are potentially affected. Owners of these models should determine whether their motorhome is equipped with a 3000W inverter.

To remedy the defect, owners should contact Forest River customer service at 1-754-533-5934. Authorized dealers will replace the 3000W inverter with a compliant 2800W inverter at no charge. The recall began on September 24, 2020.
