What this means for you

Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.

Plain-English summary

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. is recalling certain 2015-2018 Macan vehicles. The recall involves approximately 70,117 vehicles.

The fuel pump service cover may contact the flow nozzle on the filter flange of the fuel pump. This contact can potentially cause cracks in the component, leading to a fuel leak. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of a fire.

Porsche will rework or replace the fuel pump flange and apply a protective film. Additionally, the fuel pump flange will be inspected and replaced if cracks are present. The recall began on April 10, 2020. Owners may contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
