Braun Corporation is recalling certain 2018-2019 Honda Odyssey vehicles that have been modified with an in-floor wheelchair ramp conversion. The recall addresses a defect where the rear wheel speed sensor harnesses may have been routed to the incorrect rear wheels.

This routing error means the anti-lock brake system (ABS) may not recognize each rear wheel's speed properly. If the rear wheel speeds cannot be correctly monitored, the ABS may not engage properly to prevent the wheels from locking up, which increases the risk of a crash. These vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 135 and 404.

Dealers will inspect and correct the rear wheel speed sensor harnesses free of charge. The recall began on April 4, 2019. Owners may contact Braun customer service at 1-800-488-0359 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
