Triumph Recalls Thruxton Motorcycles Due to Wiring Clearance Issue

Triumph is recalling 2016-2018 Thruxton motorcycles because accessory fairing kits may damage wiring, causing loss of lights or engine stalls.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a risk-of-harm product (motorcycle) where injury has not yet been reported, but the defect can cause loss of lights or engine stalls, increasing crash risk.

Plain-English summary

Triumph Motorcycles America, LTD is recalling certain accessory fairing kits sold for installation on 2016-2018 Thruxton 1200, Thruxton 1200R, Thruxton 1200 Dual Seat, and Thruxton 1200R Dual Seat motorcycles.
