Plain-English summary
Triumph Motorcycles America, LTD is recalling certain 2016-2019 motorcycles, including the Bonneville T120, Bonneville T120 Black, Bonneville T100, Bonneville T100 Black, Street Cup, Street Scrambler, and Street Twin models. The recall involves approximately 12,654 vehicles.
The defect involves the clutch cable potentially contacting the main harness cover, which can cause damage to the wiring within the main harness. This damage may lead to a loss of electrical power to various circuits, causing the headlight or indicator lights to malfunction or the engine to stall. These issues increase the risk of a crash.
Triumph will notify owners, and dealers will replace the original securing guide for the clutch cable and main harness with an updated one at no charge. The recall began on March 27, 2019. Owners can contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
