Altec Industries Inc. is recalling certain 2017-2018 Altec LR7, L42A, and AT37-G TDA58 aerial devices, as well as DB37, DL/DMB D2/3/4B, and DMB digger derricks. These vehicles are equipped with fiberglass platforms where the step on the outside can break off during normal use.
If the step separates from the platform, it can increase the risk of injury. The recall affects 1,592 units in total.
Altec will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the platform step. If the step has separated, dealers will replace the platform and add a platform step reinforcing kit free of charge.
