The recall addresses a defect where the child seat top tether anchorage point on the center position of the rear seat may not have been installed. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."

If the top tether anchorage point is missing, a child seat will not be able to be properly installed in the center rear seat position, increasing the risk of injury. The recall began on August 15, 2018.
