Spartan Motors USA is recalling certain 2008-2017 Gladiator and MetroStar emergency response vehicles equipped with a supplemental park brake system (SPBS). The recall addresses an error in the directions for activating the SPBS, which incorrectly instruct operators to "Pull" the actuation knob when they should "Push" it.
If an operator follows the incorrect directions, they may believe the supplemental front park brake is applied when it is not. This could cause the vehicle to unexpectedly roll, increasing the risk of a crash.
