Plain-English summary
Kia Motors America is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 K900 vehicles manufactured between December 18, 2013, and January 11, 2016. The recall affects vehicles equipped with LED headlights. In these vehicles, electrical resistance may build up in the multi-function light switch when set to "AUTO" mode, which can cause the headlights to flicker or turn off while driving.
The defect poses a safety risk because the loss of headlight illumination may reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Kia will notify owners, and dealers will replace the multi-function switch free of charge. The recall began on May 20, 2016.
