Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain model year 2012-2017 Thomas Built Buses Minotour school buses. These vehicles were manufactured between October 26, 2010, and December 14, 2015, and are built on a GM chassis. The recall affects 2,323 vehicles.
The affected school buses have a body control module that may fail, resulting in intermittent or total loss of exterior lighting or windshield wiper function. Loss of exterior lighting or windshield wiper function can decrease visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will modify the wiring to the body control module, free of charge. The recall began on April 18, 2016. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712.
