The recall addresses a defect where the neck adapter connecting the tank boss to the fuel system may pull out. This failure allows compressed natural gas to leak from the coupling. A CNG fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Owners who purchased these tanks as part of a Momentum-brand CNG fuel system will be notified by Xperion. The company will repair the tank connector free of charge. The recall began on June 3, 2016.
