VT Hackney, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2015 Kidron Refrigerated Trailers manufactured between April 28, 2015, and April 30, 2015. These vehicles are equipped with certain Meritor EX225L2 or EX225L+ axles. The recall affects 6 units.
The affected axle assemblies have caliper bolts that may not have been properly tightened. This defect allows the caliper mounting bolts to back out and the caliper to detach from the axle flange. If the caliper detaches, braking performance would be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.
