Ford Motor Company is recalling certain model year 2016 Ford F-53 and F-59 stripped chassis trucks manufactured between June 1, 2015, and August 11, 2015. The recall addresses a defect involving an incorrect shift cable bracket and improper shift cable adjustment.
Due to this defect, the affected vehicles can be shifted out of 'PARK' without the driver applying the brakes. If the vehicle is shifted into reverse without the brakes being applied, it may unintentionally move, which increases the risk of a crash.
