Oshkosh Corporation is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 S-Series concrete mixers manufactured between July 16, 2014, and June 30, 2015. These vehicles are powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) and are equipped with pressure relief devices (PRD) that may not function as designed. Specifically, the PRD may fail to vent a buildup of pressure, such as could occur if the CNG tank was exposed to fire.

If the pressure relief device does not activate during a pressure buildup, the CNG tank may explode. This failure increases the risk of fire and injury to the vehicle operator and surrounding individuals.

Oshkosh will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the pressure relief devices, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began on September 25, 2015.
