The defect involves the Lippert Components-brand draw bar, which has insufficient thickness. If the draw bar breaks, the front of the trailer may fall or the trailer may detach from the towing vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Forest River has notified dealers to quarantine the affected trailers on their lots. Lippert Components personnel will reinforce the draw tube free of charge. The recall began on November 17, 2014.
