The seats in the affected vehicles have seat belts that may be too long to fit smaller occupants. This condition causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 208, "Occupant Crash Protection." If the seat belt does not properly fit the occupant, there is an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash.
