Plain-English summary
Porsche Cars North America, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Cayenne, Cayenne GTS, Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne S, S Hybrid, Turbo, and Turbo S vehicles manufactured between May 27, 2013, and July 10, 2013. The recall involves 207 vehicles.
The instrument cluster in these vehicles may display a calculated range of remaining fuel and a fuel level that are higher than the actual amount in the tank. These display inaccuracies may cause the vehicle to unexpectedly run out of fuel and stall, which increases the risk of a crash.
Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will update the instrument cluster software free of charge. The recall began on December 5, 2013. Owners may contact Porsche at 1-800-767-7243 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
