American Suzuki Motor Corp. is recalling certain model year 2012 Equator two-wheel drive vehicles manufactured between June 19, 2012, and July 12, 2012. The recall addresses front wheel hubs that may have been manufactured below design hardness specifications. These hubs may wear prematurely and eventually crack.

If a vehicle is driven with a cracked wheel hub, the hub may break, reducing the driver's ability to control the vehicle and possibly resulting in a crash. All affected vehicles have been quarantined at Suzuki dealers prior to sale, so no recall notification letters will be issued.
