Tracker Marine L.L.C. is recalling certain model year 2012-2013 Trailstar Nitro and Tahoe boat trailers manufactured between September 28, 2011, and May 13, 2012. The affected vehicles include the Tahoe Q5, Q7, Q8, 195, 215, Q4, and 22, as well as the Nitro Z9, Z7 Sport, Z8, 290 Sport, and Z7 models.

The recall addresses a variance in a bracket welded to the brake actuator shell. This defect prevents the full range of motion of the master cylinder shaft rod, which can cause the brakes to overheat at the wheels. Excessive heat may lead to brake failure and/or possible wheel bearing failure, creating an increased risk of a crash.
