Goshen is recalling certain 2007-2011 transit buses because wheelchair lift roll stop latches may become bent or misaligned, posing a fall risk to occupants.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a risk-of-harm product where injury has not yet been reported, fitting the 'High' severity criteria for potential fall injuries without confirmed fatalities or hospitalizations.

Plain-English summary

Goshen Coach is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 transit buses equipped with Braun Century-2 and Vista-2 wheelchair lifts. The affected models include the Pacer LS, GC II, Pacer, Pacer Ltd, Sentinel, G-Force, and GCII Connection.

Over time and with frequent use, the roll stop latches on the outer barrier may become bent or misaligned. If a wheelchair occupant defeats or rides over the insufficiently latched roll stop while the lift platform is in an elevated position, the occupant could fall and sustain injury.

Goshen will notify owners, and repairs will be performed by authorized Braun dealers free of charge. The safety recall began during May 2012. Owners may contact Goshen at 1-574-970-6300.
