These vehicles were manufactured between March 3, 2011, and July 30, 2011. The recall addresses a failure to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138 regarding the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

The defect involves the TPMS indicators, which may only illuminate for a portion of the time required by the standard. Under certain conditions, the indicators may not re-illuminate immediately after the vehicle is restarted. If all four wheel sensors are simultaneously malfunctioning or missing, the system provides an initial warning but does not automatically repeat this warning on subsequent ignition cycles. This failure to remind the driver that the system is offline means they may drive unknowingly with incorrectly inflated tires, which may result in sudden tire failure and increase the risk of a crash.
