If the mounting fasteners are not at the proper torque value, the outside door handle mount bracket may potentially rotate out of position. This defect may cause the door system to fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 206, "Door Locks and Door Retention Components." Consequently, the door may not stay closed and could open without warning during a crash, potentially allowing persons or objects to fall from the vehicle and resulting in injury.
