BMW Recalls 5, 6, and 7 Series Vehicles for Brake Vacuum Pump Leak

The defect involves a check valve in the brake vacuum pump that may leak a small amount of lubricating oil. Over time, this oil can contaminate the brake booster, which may adversely affect power assist braking performance. In extreme cases, there could be a complete loss of power assist braking, which may increase the risk of a crash.
