The recall addresses a defect where the pedestal-to-floor anchor bolts and washers are incorrect, causing the vehicles to fail to conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 210 regarding seat belt assembly anchorages.

In the event of a crash, the seat pedestal could come loose due to the incorrect anchoring components. This failure could result in personal injury to the occupant. The safety recall began on July 26, 2010.
