Lippert Components, Inc. is recalling certain trailer axles, Models 6000 and 7000, that were installed as original equipment on certain Nuwa travel trailers. The recall involves a defect where the weld joining the axle tube to the spindle may be mislocated.

This defect poses a safety risk because the spindle may partially or completely separate from the axle tube. If this occurs, the wheel and hub assembly may come off the vehicle, which could result in a crash.

Lippert is working with Nuwa to identify owners of the affected vehicles. The vehicles will be inspected for mislocated welds, and if necessary, the axles will be replaced free of charge.
