CPSC and Sanrio Inc. are not aware of any injuries involving these toys, and the recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injury. The affected toys include specific item numbers (014388, 014389, 014390, and 014391) and were sold at Sanrio stores and various other retail locations. A card tag attached to the toys displays the character's name, item number, "Sanrio Inc.", and "Made in China."
Consumers should take these stuffed toys away from young children immediately. They are advised to either remove the bell from the toy or return it to the store of purchase for a full refund. Toys can also be returned by mail for a full refund plus postage to Sanrio's Quality Assurance Department in South San Francisco, California.
