Cosco Recalls Full-Size Metal Baby Cribs Due to Entrapment Risk

Consumers should immediately check their cribs to determine if they have been mis-assembled by trying to pass a soda can through the slats on the side rails. If the soda can passes through, the crib has been mis-assembled and should not be used. Consumers should call Cosco at 800-221-6736 for instructions on properly re-assembling the crib or to arrange for an in-home repair. Cosco is offering a free gift to owners of mis-assembled cribs who repair them and an identification/warning sticker for the mattress platform to prevent future mis-assembly. The cribs were sold at major national retail stores and baby specialty stores beginning in 1995 for about $90 to $150.
