Gilbert has placed a warning label on light sets manufactured and sold in the current year and is offering the warning label information free to consumers who purchased the sets previously.

Consumers should close the fuseholder completely before plugging in the light string. After replacing a fuse, consumers should ensure the cord is flat in its cover channel before closing and latching the fuseholder at both ends. Consumers are urged to call Gilbert Manufacturing Co. toll-free at (800) 899-7584 to receive free labels and instructions for safer use. Consumers should not use their light sets until they review the instructions on the label.
