Value Merchants, Inc. is voluntarily recalling approximately 10,000 sets of 'Patty and Her Puppy' dolls (model 3159) and approximately 2,000 sets of 'Triplet Dolls' (model 001). The 'Patty and Her Puppy' set includes a six-inch vinyl doll and a three-inch vinyl puppy, while the 'Triplet Dolls' set consists of three five-inch vinyl dolls. Both products were manufactured in China and sold nationwide from March 1990 to December 1991 for approximately $1.99 per set.

The recall is being conducted because the arms and legs of the dolls may separate, creating a potentially fatal choking hazard for young children. The CPSC identified the hazard during a random establishment inspection. Neither the CPSC nor the company is aware of any injuries involving these products.
