The affected products include Berthoud models F100, F200, F300, and F300 PLUS (yellow tanks), Tecnoma Model T100 (blue tank), and Tecnoma T200 Series specialty sprayers (orange tanks) designed for applying stains or sealants. These sprayers were sold nationwide in major retail and specialty stores from late January 1992 to October 1992.

The sprayers may rupture or burst without warning, which could result in possibly serious injury from flying debris or exposure to potentially dangerous chemicals. Exel NJ, Inc. has reported seven incidents of product failure to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Consumers should discontinue use of the affected sprayers immediately. To obtain a remedy, consumers should return the empty sprayers to Exel NJ, Inc. at 205 Commerce Place, Randleman, NC 27317.
