Plain-English summary
Henry Gordy International is voluntarily recalling 40,000 Eggscavators Toy Trucks in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recall is due to a defect where the mixer on the cement truck may detach, creating a choking hazard for young children.
The recalled product, Item Number 187, is a set of three plastic construction vehicles: a dump truck, a cement truck, and a bulldozer. Each vehicle is two inches wide and two and one-half inches long. The vehicles are embossed with "MADE IN HONGKONG" on the bottom, and the cement and dump trucks feature white sticker labels reading "EGGScavators." The toys were sold nationwide since 1987 for under $2.00 per set.
Neither the CPSC nor the company is aware of any injuries involving this product. The recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injury. Consumers are urged to take these toys away from young children immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a refund.
