Artsana of America (Chicco) is voluntarily recalling the "Spinning Bee" toy top, model #64063, due to a choking, ingestion, or aspiration hazard. The toy features four rubber disc-like feet located under the blue base that can be removed by children. These small parts present a risk to young children if they are detached.
Approximately 100,000 of these toys were sold nationwide between July 1 and December 20, 1988. The recalled items have "Chicco" embossed on a yellow collar under the knob and "Made in the USA" on the bottom. Toys imported from Italy are not included in this recall.
Consumers should remove all four rubber feet from the toy and mail them to Artsana of America/Chicco at 200 Fifth Avenue, Room 910, New York, NY 10010. Upon receipt of the feet, Chicco will issue a $3.00 gift certificate toward the purchase of another Chicco toy. The toy remains operable without the feet, and their removal does not diminish the play value.
