Male-to-male extension cords, also known as pigtail cables, with model numbers RY-US-06 and RY_US-1.5, are being recalled. The 125V 12AWG heavy-duty cords are blue or yellow and are generally used to back-feed electricity to a home during a power outage by connecting a generator to a household outlet. About 200 units are affected.
The cords violate safety requirements because their exposed prongs can become energized when one end is plugged into a generator or other power source, posing a risk of serious injury and death from electrocution. No incidents or injuries have been reported.
The cords were sold online at Walmart.com from April 2025 through November 2025 for between $18 and $26.
Consumers should stop using the recalled extension cords immediately, taking care not to touch the live end of the cord when unplugging it, and contact Shenzhen Shijingjie Network Technology for a full refund.
