Cubimana Island Storm 3 In 1 Building Sets are being recalled because the battery compartment in the LED light piece lets children access button cell batteries.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 3 covers risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported: the toy fails a mandatory safety standard for battery access, and the source states no injuries or incidents have been reported.
Plain-English summary
This recall involves Cubimana Island Storm 3 In 1 Building Sets, containing 781 pieces of multi-coloured building blocks, supplied in a black box with images of a pirate base and a pirate ship. Model number "HG1004" is printed on the front of the box. About 3,950 units were sold online at Amazon.com from October 2025 through January 2026 for about $30.
The sets violate the mandatory safety standard for toys because the battery compartment within the LED light piece contains button cell batteries that can be easily accessed by children. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death. No injuries or incidents have been reported.
Consumers should take the sets away from children immediately, stop using the recalled toys, and remove and properly dispose of the batteries.
Consumers will be asked to throw the product away and send a photo of the disposed product to [email protected] to receive a full refund. Button cell and coin batteries should be disposed of or recycled following local hazardous waste procedures.
