This recall involves Sunnyyes branded LED mini lights. The colour changing lights have 13 colours, and each of the 10 multicoloured lights contains two CR2032 lithium coin batteries. Two remote controls each contain one CR2025 lithium coin battery. The lights measure 1.18 inches in diameter. About 26,000 units were sold online at Amazon.com from March 2024 through March 2026 for about $20.
The recalled LED lights violate the mandatory standard for consumer products containing button cell or coin batteries because the lithium coin batteries can be accessed easily by children, posing an ingestion hazard. The screw securing the remote control battery compartments does not remain attached, and the packaging does not carry the warnings required by Reese's Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns and death. No injuries or incidents have been reported.
Consumers should stop using the recalled LED lights immediately and place them where children cannot access them.
Consumers will be asked to disassemble and submerge all components in water and email a photo of the submerged product to [email protected] for a full refund.
